ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The last 10 years have provided lenders with the opportunity to build
solid relationships with agricultural borrowers. However, the
current low price and profitability pressures faced by corn/soybean and
hog producers will bring many challenges and opportunities to the
lender/borrower relationship. There will undoubtedly be an attrition
in the number of producers. The remaining producers will be those
with exceptional financial strength able to make it through this period
with little or no creditor assistance, and those whose survival is made
possible through major adjustments in the business with creative support
from their creditors. Each situation presents the lender with a
multitude of challenges, as well as opportunities, to take existing
relationships to an even higher level. This seminar brings
together recognized leaders in agricultural lending to share their
insights on how the agricultural lender can best serve the diverse needs
of individual customers while maintaining a sound credit portfolio. |
